Monsoon Brunch Feast Review : Tiara, Meluha The Fern, Powai

You know a place is good when your hard-to-please parents reminisce about it days later, Tiara at Meluha The Fern, Powai, falls squarely in this category. Right now, they host a Monsoon Brunch every sunday and it is oh-so-worth it because they take care of everything perfectly be it extremely warm hospitality and precision on part of the staff, soothing elegant ambiance with plenty of room between tables to indulge in private conversation, soft music in the background to make the ambiance more relaxing and of course a huge spread with something for everyone.

With literally more dishes than one can remember or try, it is a herculean task for the Chef to make sure everything tastes memorable, and the team does a fantastic job. Soups, Salads, Appetizers, Main Course, Live Counters and Desserts, we tried quite a lot from each and were not disappointed by anything.

Among appetizers, Kothimbir Vadi and Tandoori Paneer were excellent, perfectly spiced and delicately flavored, am still able to remember their taste!

Among salads (and they have a very good salad section), Sprouts & Chickpeas in Garlic Mayonnaise sauce were my fav and Asian Vegetable Salad were mighty runner-up. Dahi Vada and Curd Rice were extraordinary and I would have filled up on them alone if the main course had not tempted me!

In main course, Dal Tadka, Dal Khichdi, Noodles, Kadi Pakoda and Kaju Gravy were lip-smacking and everything else was very good too (judging by the faces of my family members who feasted on Pulao, Paneer Tikka Masala and Pasta too!) Methi Mutter Malai had a little bit of extra salt for mom but my family is also quite salt sensitive so it may just be her who felt this way. We loved everything otherwise.

Dad noted that a couple of dishes in salad and dessert section had gotten over by the time we reached there and that could be improved upon (but then again, we literally had so many delicious options that we could not taste them all and as such, it did not affect our enjoyment one bit. The place was also almost packed full, just proving how popular and awesome this brunch is) :)

The Dessert section was overwhelmingly excellent and definitely top draw for my sweet-toothed sister. Everything from Rasmalai and Rasgulla and Seasonal Fruits Tart to Hazelnut Soil, Chocolate Pudding, Strawberry Pastry, Moong Daal Halwa and Creme Brulee was out-of-this-world. Did not want to get away from here at all and had to stop eating only when our pants started to threaten to rip apart! Have to fast for at least 24 hours before landing here to be able to do justice to every counter. And did I tell you they also had absolutely stunning Croissants and Donuts? I sure wish I had 4 stomachs to rent before going here.

You know where to find my family next sunday :)
